One thing is for sure- you're as mad as a hatter. You have an obsession with time and if tea time were to ever cease, you would probably be even more confused.
Phil and I had a rare day together last Sunday, so we drove up to the Richmond Celtic Festival and Highland Games, which was positively teeming with men in kilts, dogs of all shapes and sizes in tartan 'coats', and ladies swarming around the jewelry and clothing. Our friend from Louisiana, the awesomely talented artisan jeweler Michael Hayman, was selling his wares. I bought a pair of silver crescent moon earrings from him, and Phil ordered a gorgeous silver and gold torque bracelet with dragon heads. Please visit Michael's site, his work is really so beautiful: Michael Hayman Celtic Jewelry. I bought a lovely, soft Scottish wool scarf for my Mom in her clan's tartan (Ross)...guess I'll give her that at Christmas.
Speaking of Phil, I thought you'd like to see his new tattoo (left calf). This is an image of Mannanan, the shape-shifting Irish god of the sea, navigators, storms, sailing, merchants and commerce and rebirth.

Wow, that's a really cool tat! Love the design and the colors and the overall feel of it.
I would love a tattoo but I just cannot commit to one. I'm so impulsive and what I like today, I won't like tomorrow and a tattoo is so very permanent. Ya know? How about you?
We leave this Wednesday for Paris and Amsterdam. I am so freaking excited I can barely sit still. Perfume, gourmet food and tons of culture. What more could you ask for!
Have a marvelous weekend.
Dawn:)
Awesome tat! My pal Rogers will be so envious ;-)
That bracelet is adorable, by the way.
As for my character, why am I not surprised?
"You are The Mock Turtle
You poor, sad, Mock Turtle. True, you were once a real turtle, but not anymore. Will you ever get out of this depressed slump?"
I have always loved the Cheshire Cat - I am a "dog person " too!
That cheesey grin does it.
Dawn, I don't know how you're even functioning right now with all the excitement. And I'm so excited for you!
Tattoos: no. No no no. I'm like you, I'd probably regret it. I'm just way too fickle about things like that.
Aren't those great !
Love them all.
Dawn- have a marvellous time !
I, too, can't do anything that permanent-
But I dream about it.
I LOOOOOOVE the Alice in Wonderland bracelet.
I have a tattoo of a sleeping woman around my ankle; despite that, I am the Cheshire Cat. Which somehow makes sense to me.
I am the Queen of Hearts. It says "Everyone fears and despises you. Perhaps you're just misunderstood?"
... :-D
